JENNIFER KIM
Jennifer received her Bachelor of Music from the Manhattan School of Music in 2006 and in 2008 she completed a Masters of Music degree at New York University under the tutelage of Miyoko Lotto. She has been on faculty at renowned institutions such as New York University NYU, the Bronx Conservatory of Music, and the Orange County School of the Arts OCSA.
Mrs. Kim began her piano studies at age seven. By age ten, she was performing solo concerts and participating in, and winning, piano competitions. She has appeared as a soloist at venues in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, including the Sydney Opera House and at the Opening Ceremonies for the 2000 Sydney Olympics; the Orange County Performing Arts Center and Symphony Hall (California), Santa Croce Hall and Santa Chiara Hall (Italy), and Steinway Hall, Greenfield Hall, Tenri Cultural Institute, the Blackbox Theatre, and the Frederick Loewe Theatre (New York). Jennifer has attended festivals around the world such as the Casalmaggiore International Festival (Italy), the International Institute from Young Musicians (USA), and the Suolahti Music Festival (Finland), and many more.
Outside of teaching, Jennifer loves to spend time with family and friends, travels the world one country at a time, enjoys interior design, explores new places to eat with her husband, and is pretty competitive when it comes to ping pong!
